JKL.net internet service was interrupted three times between 4pm to midnight on Dec 24th. The outage was caused by transformer problem at Hydro One due to a car accident at around 4pm. Further interruption is expected as Hydro One is still in the process of repair. We will monitor the power condition to minimize service down time.

AT&T accidentally removed a group of phone lines from our dial up modem pool since Nov 12th. As a result, you may have received busy signal during our peak hours in the past 16 days. We should have the problem resolved in the next few days.

JKL.net's service provider Worldcom has been experiencing difficulties with their routers starting Wednesday Oct 17th. During this incident, some users would have had intermittent difficulty getting to various sites across the Internet. Remedial steps has since been taken by Worldcom to resolve the issue. JKL.net regrets any inconvenience which this incident may have caused.

JKL.net dial-up service failed intermittently on Aug 22nd due to a failed Hard Disk cooling system. The problem was repaired by 5:30 pm. We apologize for the inconvenience it has created.

JKL.NET has changed its service provider to UUNET on April 29th at 9 a.m. Now we have a burstable T1 connection as our gateway to the internet.

The kingston.jkl.net server has been upgraded to Linux kernel 2.2.18. This will allow us to upgrade other applications with enhanced features.
